Does anyone struggle with their emotional attraction to men? Maybe I'm just not talking to the right guys? I don't know... I just feel like it's easier for me to connect with women emotionally but would like to find that connection with men. I just don't know how to begin working on that?

Maybe watch some romantic movies? I think that might show you a new aspect of it.

I can’t stomach those. They’re just too cheesy. At least cheesy Marvel movies keep you entertained with CGI fights.

Honestly, all I do is watch rom coms and listen to love songs. But if you have any recommendations I would really appreciate it.

Maybe that’s part of the problem? Hollywood’s version of romance seems very unrealistic to me.

Usually, gay romantic movies aren't Hollywood, but indie. I guess they're becoming more Hollywood now but I didn't mean "Love, Simon", I meant something along the lines of Shelter, The Normal Heart or European movies. There's even a really good one from Australia (Head On) that deals with a Muslim gay guy and self-hatred. There's enough gay content today that you don't need to really be into the Hollywood vibe.

Anyway, I do recommend Shelter for cheesy Hollywood romance. It's not that far-fetched and is able to give you a good idea of what a relationship with a guy could be like.

I don't really understand the difference between being a guy's partner or being a woman's -- aside from the stereotypes -- but there's lots of things I don't understand and feel, so I can't say that other people are misguided or wrong. Maybe you just can't date a guy and it's fine. But if you really want to be able to do that, the best you can do is look around. Googling "best gay movies" gives you enough content to start. And if you're unsure about the sources, just check how the movies fared on iMDB.

I struggle emotionally with myself over forbidden emotions toward some special dude.
I revived my method of self-discipline to get done with this. Probably will have to hit the wall using my head but eventually it may stop the struggle. It's just plain silly. Any o f it.
The dude will never know. I want them to be happy in with their GF.

That Shelter movie someone told me about years back. I downloaded all kinds of Shelter movies, but the right one was not among these. What do I look for if I want to get it on DVD?

Thanx, well that was, from where I downloaded all the other ones that weren't THE one.
Probably will need a better VPN these days. In case I ever get a better internet connection once again.
