Well this was shit.
Seriously. This has to be the worst Eurovision semifinal that I have seen.

I can count my favourites from this with one hand. In this order:
Belgium, Cyprus, Australia, Finland, Sweden

Notable mentions go to Iceland, Czech Republic and possibly Poland. And ours was actually quite good as well.

But yes. My favoruite was Belgium.

I'm so sad for Finland. I can't believe they missed out!

I voted for Finland, Cyprus, Portugal & Moldova.

WTF do people see in Portugal? I don't get it at all. At least Moldova is catchy and pleasant.

This was MUCH better than the first one. I don't think that I really disliked any song.

My favourites:
Bulgaria, Ireland, Austria, Romania (it was weirdly catchy). I also liked The Netherlands, Israel, Belarus, ...

I also don't mind the choice of hosts this year :shifty: .

To the bad stuff: Ireland didn't get through. Again. How the fuck does this keep happening?

I'm watching the finale live on youtube right now. A coupe of belarusian performers are singing and looking cute.

I've never really understood Eurovision but I've had a friend who was a huge fan of it. It always reminds me of Pokemon (the cartoon, not the game) for some reason.

Moldova was amazing. Very glad that Portugal won too.

I wonder why Bulgaria was your favourite? :D

Moldova amazing? No. It was just cringe worthy.

As for my favourite... it was between him and Belgium. I voted for both. The Belgian song is actually better, but he was better at the live performance. So no. I am not really all that biased here. He is cute and everything but not entirely my type.

Total agreement on your top two.

When I was watching Belgium I almost toppled to the floor she should have won. Portugal's speech was pretentious af. And his song doesn't sound original to me. He basically insulted everyone else in the competition.

I don't believe in competitions that have discriminatory provisions in their name like, "Euro," and, "Vision."

I don't think it was particularly pretentious and I didn't really mind that speech. I think he has a point. Although the intentions behind the art really don't matter to me. The target audience in the end will decide what is good and what isn't.

I agree that there was nothing particularly original in that song. To me it really sounded quite bland and generic.

I think it was a little pretentious. As if every song should have an emotional meaning. Sometimes music can just be fun, make you dance, while it doesn't mean anything. To me that's perfectly fine.
