Dragons Den. Reality TV can apparently be interesting too. And at least a small bit educational.

I feel sorry for the entrepreneurs who still try to get investment by licking the feet of venture capitalists in this age of crowd funding. But that show is indeed interesting.

I never really become interested in series to watch them from start to finish. I mostly follow current affairs shows. Apart from some quality coverage, Irish TV is very dull. Until recently, I didn't even have a TV for about a year and a half.

The Irish edition of Dragon's Den is a rare example of decent reality TV. It's interesting viewing.

I don't think that crowd funding is an ultimate answer for everything. Kickstarter and idiegogo are very useful websites, but I think that they are useful for only a small percent of businesses/ideas.

Either way I really was surprised when two guys in Episode 6 (I think - the UK version) managed to sell them basic persistence of vision device (bike advertising). It is a simple technology that has been around for a long while. And ok they weren't selling the tech itself but saying that it is hard to replicate is nonsense.

House of Cards

So far so good, but I don't understand the non-standard aspect ratio.

Our America with Lisa Ling
I didn't expect to like a program on Oprah's network, but this documentary* series is quite good in its choice of topics and in its style. I really like how Ling tries to be unbiased when treating controversial topics such as transgender issues, sex offenders, faith healers and "pray the gay away" organisations - she simply follows people on both sides for a bit and interviews them rather than shoving her opinion down the audience's collective throat and making one side out to be the bad guys.
*I'm not sure if documentary is the correct term as facts are really not the most important aspect

Bleach
25 episodes in - 300 or so to go
